Outcome
I do not uphold Mrs N’s complaint and no further action is required by the Trustee.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mrs N’s complaint is that the Trustee did not make direct contact with her, in 2002, in relation to the distribution of the death benefits from the Scheme following the death of her father. Instead the Trustee liaised with her mother. Mrs N says that, as a result, she did not receive the letter or the cheque for the payment of the death.
