Outcome

I do not uphold Mr Y’s complaint and no further action is required by the Trustee or Administrator.

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.

Complaint summary

Mr Y has complained that the Administrator and Trustee have incorrectly applied a different and more severe early retirement factor to his fixed pension. This was obtained via a transfer in of previous service and that he was not sufficiently informed, at the time of the transfer that a different early retirement factor would apply.

Mr Y has also complained that for a number of years he has been provided with incorrect information regarding his correct pension entitlement.
