Outcome
I do not uphold Mr O’s complaint and no further action is required by the Agency.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr O’s complaint against the Agency is in relation to the incorrect information he received in 2006 about his retirement date, which was partly due to an overstated service credit in relation to a benefit transferred in from the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). As a result, he will now retire later than he expected and will have to alter his retirement and associated financial planning accordingly.
