I do not uphold Dr N’s complaint and no further action is required by NHS BSA.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Dr N is complaining that NHSBSA refused to refund him the pension contributions he made while he was a student in accordance with the legislation which governed the Scheme at that time. Dr N also says that NHSBSA acted with maladministration in its advertisement of added years to him as a beneficial purchase without warning him of any associated risks.
