Outcome
I do not uphold Mr D’s complaint against the Trustees. The Trustees have offered to pay £750 to Mr D in recognition for the distress and inconvenience caused to him by its maladministration.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr D’s complaint against the Trustees of the Scheme is that his pension is not subject to the annual increases that he expected it would be. He says that he was told that there would be annual increases to his pension, of at least 5%, from his leaving date until 2029, the date of his normal retirement.
