I do not uphold Mr E’s complaint and no further action is required by LCC.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr E disagrees with the late retirement factors that will be applied by LCC when he retires, as these will be applied to the full period between his 65th birthday and his eventual retirement date. He argues that the factors should, at the very least, only apply from the date they came into effect (i.e. 15 March 2017) until his eventual retirement date.
