Outcome
Mrs K’s complaint is upheld and to put matters right, BSUH should pay Mrs K £1,000 in respect of the significant distress and inconvenience it caused.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mrs K received an incorrect estimated retirement quotation in respect of her pension benefits on 12 October 2015. Based on this information Mrs K left her employer and claimed her pension benefits. Mrs K said the lower than expected pension benefits she now receives has left her in financial difficulty.
