Outcome

I do not uphold Mr E’s complaint and no further action is required by the Trustees or the Administrator.

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.

Complaint summary

Mr E’s complaint is that he was not paid an enhanced pension when he took early retirement on the grounds of ill health. Mr E also says the Trustees failed to make provision for protecting ill health enhancement when members were transferred from the Scheme into the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS).
