I do not uphold Mr N’s complaint and no further action is required by Standard Life.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr N’s complaint is that Standard Life obstructed his administration of the Scheme. Mr N says that Standard Life delayed releasing funds from the Scheme which he requested for the settlement of costs incurred in respect of the property owned by the Scheme, and that he incurred financial loss, and suffered distress and inconvenience as a result of Standard Life’s conduct.
