The Estate’s complaint against the Trustee is brought by the late Mr E’s wife, Mrs E. The complaint is that the Trustee unreasonably delayed Mr E’s application for an ill health retirement pension (IHRP). This resulted in Mrs E receiving a lower death benefit lump sum, following Mr E’s death.
