Complaint summary

Mrs T’s complaint against the DOF concerns its decision not to award her early retirement on the grounds of ill health when she was dismissed from the Northern Ireland Civil Service’s (NICS) employment on the grounds of inefficiency.

I am not considering the erroneous early payment of Mrs T’s deferred benefits on the grounds of ill health. This was considered in a previous complaint, PO-21858, which I determined on 26 March 2019.
