Outcome
I do not uphold Mr H’s complaint and no further action is required by the Trustee.
Complaint summary
Mr H has complained that the Trustee did not carry out adequate due diligence when it processed and accepted his request to transfer to the Optimum Retirement Benefit Plan (the Receiving Scheme). He claims that had the Trustee done so, it would have stopped the transfer from proceeding and he would not have lost his pension funds. So, he would like the Trustee to restore the value of his fund or make an award, in recognition of its error.
