I do not uphold Mr N’s complaint and no further action is required by RBS.
Complaint summary
Mr N complained that RBS failed to inform him that upon leaving service he would need to transfer his benefits from the Plan to another pension arrangement. As a result of this, he has lost his entitlement to any benefits in the Plan.
Mr N has said that he would like to transfer his benefits from the Plan to his new employer’s pension scheme or, alternatively, to receive a refund of contributions.
