I do not uphold Mr Y’s complaint, and no further action is required by NHS BSA. 

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail in paragraphs 42 to 56 below.

Complaint summary

Mr Y complained that he did not receive a refund in respect of contributions made into the Scheme during various periods of pensionable employment between 1985 and 1998. He requested an appropriate refund for these contributions, or an uplift to his pension.
