Outcome

Mrs N has complained that TP is not paying her the correct widow’s pension.

Outcome
The complaint should be upheld against the Trustee because an uplift should have been applied to his deferred pension. To matters right, the Trustee shall follow the steps set out in the section ‘Directions’. concerns the information he was provided about the uplift to his deferred pension between ages 60 and 62.
Mrs S’ complaint is upheld and to put matters right the Employer shall pay £216.71 into the Scheme. The Employer shall ensure that Mrs S is not financially disadvantaged by its maladministration. So, it shall arrange for any investment loss to be calculated and paid into the Scheme.
I do not uphold Mr Y’s complaint, and no further action is required by the Trustee.
Mr S’ complaint against the Employer is partly upheld. I do not uphold Mr S’ complaint against James Hay. To put matters right for the part that should be upheld the Employer should make an award to remedy any financial loss it has caused Mr S.
