Outcome
Mr H’s complaint is not upheld because there is now no outstanding injustice resulting from the maladministration identified.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr H has complained that implementation of a pension sharing order (PSO) was delayed because Veterans UK sent an invoice for administration charges to the wrong address. He has complained that the delay in implementing the PSO led to the overpayment of his pension. He has also complained that his pension was reduced by the amount of the outstanding administration fee without warning.
Mr H also says he has not been provided with details of the amount by which he was overpaid. He says he does not dispute the need to repay the overpayment but would like to know how it has been calculated.
