Outcome

I do not uphold Mr Y’s complaint and no further action is required by the College.

My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.

Complaint summary

Mr Y has complained that the College failed to enrol him in the LGPS between 2 May 1995 and his 60^th birthday on 30 August 2013, which is the date he re-joined the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS).

Mr Y believes the College was under a statutory duty to enrol him into the Scheme under the Local Government Pension Scheme (Administration) Regulations 2008 (the Regulations), which came into force on 1 April 2008.
