Outcome

Mr N’s complaint against the Trustee and Capita is partly upheld. To put matters right, the Trustee shall pay £1,000 to Mr N in recognition of the serious distress and inconvenience it has caused.

Complaint summary

Mr N's complaint is that his deferred pension has not been increased at a fixed revaluation rate, contrary to information he received when he left the Scheme. 

Mr N states he can no longer expect the pension he was told he would get, and so he will suffer a financial loss in retirement.
