Outcome

Mrs S’ complaint against the Trust is partly upheld. To put matters right the Trust shall pay Mrs S £1,000 for the serious distress and inconvenience she has experienced. No further action is required by NHS BSA.

Mrs S has complained that she was misinformed by the Trust and NHS BSA about her reckonable membership in the NHSPS. She feels that NHS BSA should honour the full 40 years of reckonable service, as she was given assurances that she would achieve this and would not have chosen to retire had she been aware of the shortfall.
