Outcome

Mr S' complaint is upheld and, to put matters right, the Employer shall pay the missing contributions in respect of his pension and make good any shortfall in units. In addition, the Employer shall pay Mr S £1,000 for the serious distress and inconvenience it has caused him.

Complaint summary

Mr S has complained that the Employer, despite deducting contributions from his pay, has failed to pay them into the Scheme. 

Mr S has said that the Employer failed to pay all pension contributions between April 2020 to April 2021. A payslip for week ending 28 March 2021 showed the employee and employer pension year to date amounted to £2,132.84.
