Outcome
I do not uphold Mr Bishop’s complaint and no further action is required by the Trustee.
My reasons for reaching this decision are explained in more detail below.
Complaint summary
Mr Bishop’s complaint is against the Trustee in that it refunded his pension contributions without his consent after failing to write to his correct address. Mr Bishop contends that he should have had an opportunity to transfer the funds if he wanted to. He refuses to repay the refunded pension contributions in order to arrange a pension transfer to another scheme.
