Outcome
The complaint is upheld and to put matters right Teachers' Pensions shall pay Mrs S £1,000 in recognition of the serious distress and inconvenience she has suffered.

Ms T’s complaint is upheld and, to put matters right, the Employer shall pay £3,555.63 into the Scheme. The Employer shall ensure that Ms T is not financially disadvantaged by its maladministration.
I do not uphold this complaint against USS as it has applied the Rules of the Scheme correctly and I do not find that Professor M relied on the Quotation in making his decision to withdraw from the Scheme.
I do not uphold Mr N’s complaint and no further action is required by Standard Life.
Mr T’s complaint is upheld and, to put matters right, the Employer shall pay £4,464.57 into the Plan. The Employer shall ensure that Mr T is not financially disadvantaged by its maladministration. So, it shall arrange for any investment loss to be calculated and paid into the Plan.

Miss N’s complaint is upheld and, to put matters right, the Employer shall pay £895.38 into the Scheme. The Employer shall ensure that Miss N is not financially disadvantaged by its maladministration. It shall arrange for any investment loss to be calculated and paid into the Scheme.
I do not uphold Mrs S’ complaint and no further action is required by NHS BSA.
Mrs N’s complaint against the Council is partly upheld. To put matters right, for the part that is upheld the Council shall pay Mrs N £1,000 for the serious distress and inconvenience that she has suffered as a result of its errors.
