Outcome

The complaint should be partly upheld against the Trustee because:

Mr L’s complaint is partly upheld and, to put matters right for the part that is upheld, MyCSP and the Cabinet Office shall take the actions as set out in paragraph 71 below.
Dr Y’s complaint against SPPA is partly upheld. To put matters right, SPPA shall pay £1,000 to Dr Y in respect of the serious distress and inconvenience which he has suffered.
I do not uphold Mrs TT’s complaint and no further action is required by Aegon.
The complaint is upheld. If LPP had not provided Mr N with incorrect information, it is more likely than not that he and Ms E would have married in order to guarantee her entitlement to a pension from the Scheme.
The complaint should be partly upheld against the Trustee because it should not have commenced the recovery of the overpayment without an order of a competent court.
