Complaint summary
Mr K has complained that he was unable to commute his annual pension into a one-off lump sum payment. He said that this was needed to pay off his “debts” and to “make essential modifications” to his home.
Mr K said that the Trustee has discretion to allow for such payments under “special circumstances”, and that his circumstances should qualify.
