Ombudsman’s Determination

Outcome

Mr T’s complaint against the Trustee and the Administrator is partly upheld. To put matters right, the Trustee shall pay £1,000 to Mr T.

Complaint summary

Mr T complained that the Scheme recorded incorrect information about his lifetime allowance (LTA) position, and this delayed his request for a guaranteed cash equivalent transfer value (CETV).

Mr T said his final CETV was lower than it would have been if the record of his LTA had been correct. He said it also caused a delay in the administration of his transfer, which led to an investment loss.
